They are pink and they are here!

The Girls have arrived in the sock bunny shop on Folksy!  Twowence and Thelia Thock Thnake are waiting for new homes.  They can't wait to get rid of each other, always fighting and arguing, they can't see eyeball to eyeball on anything.

Widget is getting fed up having to stop their arguments, dodging their snakey tongues as they bicker.  Sometimes he just sits on their tongues to stop them.  One of the main topics of argument is hair.  Thelia has it and Thwowence doesn't.  Thelia flicks it around whenever she can, and this annoys her sister, and everyone else.  Thwowence's only come back is that she has a fancier pattern on her skin.

 Thelia

The Bunny Maker is sure that they would miss each other if apart, but it would have to be a strict owner who took on these two sisters!

New Sock Things: Thnake Eyeball Key Rings?

I had a wonderful and unusual custom order the other day.  A snake eyeball keyring.  I had to have a good old think about it (nice glass of Rose etc) as the eyeballs were originally just for sewing onto Thnakes and didn't need to be that robust.  How to attach it securely to the keyring was the issue - so it didn't just pull off, or come undone.

It's solved.  I made an inner ball of white sock and sewed webbing all the way around it, having machine sewed a loop into it first.  With that all secure I wrapped more stuffing around the ball and sewed it inside the rainbow sock fabric.

I'm hoping it will hold up.  Now I'm thinking, perhaps I'll have some in the shop.  What do you think?

Thock Thnake Newth.

Up until now it is only the bunnies who have sent in news to The Warren so we were all very chuffed when this arrived in their inbox....

Sharing cereal?  Being spoon fed?  Cuddles?  Now all the Thnakes want new homes!!  There are some very lonely ones waiting in the Bunny Shop on Folksy.  They would like to say that they are really very soft, cuddly and not at all rude or noisy.

Above, displaying his marvelous purple tongue, is Thargeant Eth Thnake Reconnaissance Division, a very loving Thnake and desperate for love........

Gloria Thock Thnake gets ready for her new home.

We had a little flurry of orders in the gap between Christmas and the new year - several bunnies with carrots and the last of the sock snakes too.  Gloria has been purchased.  She was a little sad at being the last snake standing, so to speak, she kept asking if her eyeballs clashed with her snake body, or if her bum looked a bit bit.  Everyone told her that she was a beautiful snake and the perfect home was just round the corner.
She was sooo excited when we told her she had been bought.  Everyone helped to get her ready to travel ...

The Meerkats, Widget and Nosey Mouse were very worried about her being 'tied up'.  It had to be explained that it kept her snakiness together and stopped her sproinging out to her full length while in transit.

They tucked her tongue in last of all and everyone was a bit tearful.  Widget went to get the stapler to do up the package.  Then things went a bit pear-shaped.

The stapler went 'clrunch...clrunch', the black bag enclosed Gloria and Isabow passed out!  It was all too much for her.  Murky didn't know what to do.  Widget vanished and it was left to The Bunny Maker to sort it all out, as usual.
Isabow came round pretty quickly and her and Murky were put back on The Window Sill where they are now living with Nosey Mouse and various other creatures...

Gloria's parcel was put near the front door ready for the trip to the post office.  Air holes were made in the package so that she could breathe and Widget could chat to her and keep her company.
The bunnies are amassing at the front door ALREADY for the send off tomorrow morning when The Bunny Maker takes her to be weighed and posted.

If it's going to be like this everytime a snake leaves the place ......

FRESHLY BAKED SNAKES - GET 'EM WHILST THEY'RE HOT!

I've been a-snakin'.
Makin' and a-snakin'.
Making snakes.
'Widget and Friends' has finally got some friends - snakey friends. I always planned for it to be more than bunnies but hadn't got around to thinking what that more might be. Then one day a snake happened. Actually I saw a pair of tights hanging up in our local shop and though - hmmmm those would make a great snake.
That's how it happened.

There are four new ones in The Warren Sockbunny shop on Folksy - the last load sold right away so hurry if you want one!

SNAKES!!!!

EEEEK! The snakes seem to be arriving, a sure sign of autumn. It's getting a bit parky out at night now so they have slithered and slipped in to curl up in front of The Warren fire. Cheeky things!

This is Slipper. He looks like he's just had a very hot chilli but he really only eats Oreos dipped in milk. He arrived this morning - I opened the front door and there he was, trembling. The poor thing got lost in the dark and it was the only safe, high spot he could find. He said he didn't like the big shiny cheese thing shining in the sky but he couldn't close his eyes, to shut it out, as he doesn't have any eyelids!! Since then he's been sleeping on top of the hot water tank.

Rumple Snake Skin is a sock snake who feels he is misunderstood. He is a big softy even though he looks a little fierce.
The bunnies have been mesmerized by his swirly whirly eyes and whole groups of them keep shuffling infront of him whispering. Rumple finds this VERY irritating.
His favourite food is a jolly nice bit of Brie.

This is Rose. She would love to come and live with you. She enjoys hanging around but is very good at pretending to be a draft-excluder although she does worry about getting dusty or stepped on.
Rose is a quiet snake, prone to sleeping for hours on end, only waking for a warm cup of green tea. She says that coffee makes her stripes go wiggly!

All three have posed for their 'Selling Picture', a name made up by the bunnies, and are ready to go off to new homes for Christmas. Everyone's home should have one!
